If the software reports that there is no internet connection, the first check that should be made is that whatever connection that is used for the internet (whether that's WIFI, dial-up or wired network) is up and working. Open your favourite browser and check you can access sites such as eBay and Hotmail. If these sites don't work, there is something wrong on your computer or local network that you need to troubleshoot.

If these sites work just fine, navigate to our website and check that can be accessed (www.examsoftware.co.uk). If it cannot, but you can view other websites, it could be that our server is down, in which case you'll have to try again later, but rest assured we will be working very hard to get the site back up! An alternative could be that your security software is blocking access to our site (wrongly), check the configuration of the security software or disable it for the duration of the activation process.
If you can access our website but the software still reports there is no internet connection, try disabling any security software and firewall, these may be blocking the program from accessing the internet.
Finally, and this is really only necessary on corporate or college networks, you may need to provide the hostname and port of the proxy server that provides access to the internet. The values required for these fields can be found by looking in the connection settings of internet explorer, or you should ask your network administration staff.
