Getting the Software
The first step in installing the software is getting hold of the installation program itself. We supply the software in two forms, via a CD and via a download from the internet. Both pieces of software are exactly the same, the only difference is the method of distribution.
Running the Installer from the CD
The installer will automatically start when the CD is inserted, if it doesn't, possibly because the autorun facility on your PC is disabled, you will need to navigate to your CD drive by double-clicking on "My Computer" and then CD drive. From the list of files on the CD, double-click the that ends with -Setup.Exe (The start of the filename will indicate the product you purchased.
Downloading the Software from the Internet
You can find the files to download by following the link sent to you via email. If you haven't received your email, please check your SPAM folder, some email clients move the email confirmation there by mistake. If you purchase multiple pieces of software from us, adding "sales@examsoftware.co.uk" to your address book should ensure the email doesn't get thought of as SPAM.
If you find that the download stalls and you have to start downloading again, try installing Mozilla Firefox it can resume a failed download and save you having to start from the beginning.
Installing the Software
The installation process copies the program file onto your machine so they can be run from the "Start Menu". The installer shows a dialog and asks a few simple questions, non-technical users can simply accept the default values and keep pressing "next" or "install" until it changes to "finish". Once the dialog closes the software is installed.
Running the Software
Once installed the software can be run by finding the entry for it on the "Start Menu -> All Programs" menu.
