Download Fails

Posted in

A small number of users have reported problems downloading the software in the that the download stalls, or fails, then they have to restart the download again from the beginning. The problem will often be hit a few times before the download successfully completes.

In all cases to date the problem has been due to local network issues, which is something outside of our control. For example, the local ADSL connection drops out and the download fails, or the connection becomes too slow and the browser disconnects from the server.

Download Corruption

Posted in

If, once downloaded and run, the installer displays a message along the lines of:

NSIS Error. The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus

Then the download is likely to be corrupt. Please try downloading again after clearing your internet explorer cache to ensure the file is actually downloaded from our servers rather than just copying the corrupt copy again.

Manual Activation of Athena Player

Where the computer that is to run Athena Player has no internet access, or cannot connect to the Examsoftware servers, a manual activation can be performed to allow full access to the product.

Getting the Software

The first step in installing the software is getting hold of the installation program itself. We supply the software in two forms, via a CD and via a download from the internet. Both pieces of software are exactly the same, the only difference is the method of distribution.
